Laxmi Idly Rava, also known as Rice Rava or Cream of Rice, is coarsely ground rice commonly used in South Indian cuisine to make idlis (steamed rice cakes). Unlike regular rava (semolina made from wheat), idly rava is made from rice and has a slightly granular texture. Uses: Idli Preparation: Soaked and mixed with urad dal (black gram) batter for soft idlis. Upma or Porridge: In some regions, it's used similarly to wheat rava. Ponganalu and Other Snacks: In batters for crispy, soft South Indian snacks.
